Cone Beam Computed Tomography
Cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT) is a type of x-ray imaging that produces high-quality, three-dimensional images of the inside of the body. CBCT is often used in situations where traditional x-ray imaging methods, such as CT or MRI, would not provide adequate information.
CBCT is frequently used in dentistry and oral surgery, as it provides very detailed images of teeth and bones. It can also be used to assess damage to the skull after a head injury, or to diagnose sinus problems.
At Access Endodontics we use CBCT technology from Morita in our Irvine endodontic office, providing state-of-art solutions to our practice, and healthy benefits for our patients.
CBCT is a relatively new technology, but it is rapidly becoming more widely available as its benefits are increasingly recognized. If you think CBCT might be right for you or your child, talk to Dr. Johnson or Dr. Keshav about whether this type of imaging could help provide the answers you need.
Benefits:
- Get better, more detailed images with CBCT.
- Reduce radiation dosage.
- Use CBCT for a variety of applications.
- Feel confident you're making the best decisions for your patients' health.
- Know that you're using the latest and greatest technology available.
